Having the crew returned to their inn and lodging and settled in to sleep through the unsetting summer sun. Roddy, nibbling on a bit of the cheese stolen from the food stores of the raided ship, heard something that caught his ear. A woman, Au of Ux Quorath, was talking about the disappearance of her cousin’s sister in law.
One day she was there, and the following morning she was gone. Her husband and children were home the night she disappeared.
Butting in, the rodentine rogue began asking questions and making promises of the help he would provide. After a brief round of questioning he learned the house she disappeared from was two blocks away from the old bathhouse and a right.
The crew closes the blackout curtains and rests.
The following day Caulder is able to get in contact with his fence, Glabrus of Yad Uzoth, and the prospective wizard Niobium the Black.
After some magical identification of the substances, the purple being a mutagen, the green being some form of warding magic, and the red being a potentially cryogenic elemental substance and some back and forth they sell the potions for 85 Saturns (electrum pieces), Niobium isn’t interested in the moss suit seeing it as being of little use for his necromantic goals.
They talk more and Roddy brings up cult presence in the city and inquires if Niobium knows anything about it.
“The YGSÐÐ Cult? I’ve heard whisperings. All I know is that there has been an uptick in sacrifices”
“We only knew about the disappearances, nothing about sacrifices?”
“Disappearances?” He inquired before he turns to Mekinimini “You know great sorcery requires blood, the market for sacrificial livestock has been strained”
The crew eventually leaves, quite a bit richer and stocks up various equipment.
